cufflinks software package provides Transcript assembly, differential expression and regulation for RNA-Seq, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cufflinks
cufflinks is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cufflinks package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cufflinks *
You will get with cufflinks package name, version, architecture and description in a table
